Units

Units are the value of items that are measured in a specific quantity, which allows different things to compare against each other.

 

Working with Units in RealBooks

Creating of Units

STEP 1: Go to Masters ⇒ Inventory ⇒ Units ⇒ Create

STEP 2: Once you click on Create, Units Master creation page will appear.

STEP 3: Now fill in the details in the fields provided:

Unit Name – Name of the unit.

Short Name (max 6 char) – Display name of the unit.

Display Name – Once you type the unit name, display name of the unit will appear automatically.

Decimal- Name denoting the decimal place value.

GST UQC – Provide a unique quantity code as per the list provided by GST.

Type – Select the type of the unit, (such as- Simple / Complex).

Visible – If the feature is enabled, then the unit will be visible for unit master & reports and vice versa.

STEP 4: Now click on Save to create a Unit Master.

Viewing of Units

STEP 1: Go to Masters ⇒ Inventory ⇒ Units ⇒ View

STEP 2: Once you click on View, Units Master list page will appear.

Editing of Units

STEP 1: Go to Masters ⇒ Inventory ⇒ Units ⇒ Edit

STEP 2: Once you click on edit, Units Master list will appear:

STEP 3: Now Click on the pencil icon, the units master will be available to edit.

STEP 4: Once you have updated the details click on Save.

Deleting of Units

STEP 1: Go to Masters ⇒ Inventory ⇒ Units ⇒ Delete

STEP 2: Once you click on Delete, Units Master list will appear.

STEP 3: As you click on the cross icon to delete, a confirmation message will pop on the screen.

STEP 4: Once you confirm, the units master will be deleted.
