Item Group

Item Group is the classification category. Depending on the type of product, categorise it under its respective field. If the product is service oriented, name it under the group head – service. If the product is used as a raw-material, you have to name it under the Raw-material category.

Mandatory Fields

To Create an Item Group following fields needs to be filled

1Item Group NameType the Name of the item Group to be created
2UnderCreate an Item Group Hierarchy - in case the created Item Group is at the First Level - select 'Primary'
3Effect in StockSelect yes/no
4VisibleSelect Visible to make the Item group Visible for Reports and Data Entry

Customisation

 Create an Item Group 

  1.  Navigate to Masters, Inventory,Item Group and Create. 
  2. Fill in the Mandatory Fields and Click on Save.

Edit an Item Group 

  1. Navigate to Masters, Inventory,Item Group and Edit.
  2. Select an Item Group and Click on Edit.
  3. Type the  Item Group  in the given Field of Quick Search.
  4. Select the Item Group to be edited from the list filtered from the Search.
  5. Go to the extreme right of the Screen and click on the edit icon to open the edit screen.
  6. Edit the fields needed to and Click on Save.

 Delete an Item Group

  1. Navigate to Masters, Inventory,Item Group and Delete.
  2. Type the Item Group to be deleted in the given Field of Quick Search.
  3. Select the Item Group to be deleted from the list filtered from the Search.
  4. Go to the extreme right of the Screen and click on the delete icon.
  5. Click on Ok to Delete the Unit.

 Search/View an Item Group   

  1. Navigate to Masters, Inventory,Item Group and an View.
  2. A List of Item Group with those characters shall filter and list .
  3. Go to the extreme right of the Screen and click on the view icon to open the view screen.

Use Cases

Raw Material                                                

Type Item Group  Name as Raw Material and select it under Primary.

Select Yes for Effect in Stock,Click on Visible and Save.

Import

NEED CLARITY

Export 

An Item Group Master List can easily be exported to an excel sheet.

  1. Navigate to edit option
  2. Type all in the search field and click on search
  3. Click on options and select Either  Excel Format (Group Details) or just Excel Format.
